Bio:Changbin (Brad) Yu was born in Shandong, China. He received the B.Eng degree with first class honors in computer engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2004, and a PhD in Engineering from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2008. Since then he has been a faculty member at Research School of Engineering, the Australian National University, and adjunct at NICTA Ltd. He also engages with Chinese universities and institutes in various capacities.
Among the a large number of honors and recognitions received, he is proud to be a recipient of an 2015 Australian Government's Endeavour Executive Fellowship, an 2010 ANU Top Supervisor Award, an 2006-2008 Asian Journal of Control Best Paper Award, an ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2007 and an ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellowship in 2010, a 2006 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad, an 2005 Australian Government's Endeavour Asia Award and an undergraduate scholarship from the Republic of Singapore.
He is a Fellow of the Instituion of Engineers Australia (FIEAust),a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and a member of IFAC Technical Committee on Networked Systems (TC1.5). He is currently serving as a Subject Editor for International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control. He has served as an Associate Editor for Systems & Control Letters and IET Control Theory & Applications.
